Hello, I’m TJ—
The hands behind the needle, the heart behind the thread.
My journey began at age nine, with a Bernina 830 Record humming under my grandmother’s watchful eye. That machine wasn’t just metal and gears—it was a gateway. Each stitch taught me patience, precision, and the quiet power of creating something lasting. It was more than sewing; it was belonging.
In 1998, everything deepened when I discovered Alex Anderson’s quilting tutorials on television. Her storytelling through fabric and form lit a spark in me. Watching her work with Bernina’s unmatched precision felt like coming home. I soon purchased my first Bernina 180 sewing and embroidery machine and stitched it into the ground—until I upgraded to my cherished Bernina 780 just three years ago.
But even with decades of experience, I found myself facing a new challenge:
The closure of a major supply distributor—and the growing absence of brand stores that truly support makers like us. I couldn’t find what I needed in my own community. And I knew I wasn’t alone.
So I created Craftsman Supply Depot—a space built not just to sell supplies, but to serve the maker community with heart and intention. Today, we offer over 800 thoughtfully curated products, and the search never stops. Just this morning, I added a brand-new department for Resin Art—because creativity doesn’t stand still, and neither do we.
If you’re anything like me, you find joy in wandering through a quilt shop, a general craft store, or any space that sparks your next idea. That’s the spirit behind this store. It’s a place where inspiration lives, and where every product is chosen to help you bring your vision to life.
